Erosion Control Blocks
Coir Blocks
Erosion Control Blocks are an easy and cost-effective way to stabilization your banks, restore your shorelines, reinforce your slopes, and even create soil lifts that are covered in vegetation.
Creating a strong and lasting unit, the BioD-Block™ takes elongated coir mattress fibers and packs them densely into block sizes. These rectangular blocks are then covered on three (3) sides with a woven bristle coir fabric. The remaining side is left open to fill with dirt, creating more support and allowing the unit to function as a stable and cohesive structure.
Often, multiple coir blocks are connected together to form a longer block system. To connect a blocks together, match the male side of one block to the female side of another block and place them together under the fabric. This will provide you with a strong erosion control structure.
